Day 5—Tutorial Block # 1

1.  There will be a Sophomore class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium today.

2. Plastic Caps for children with kidney disease or cancer:

The Life Skills Classroom will be collecting Plastic lids from milk, pop, water and juice bottle  in the school library and during all three lunches.   For every 3000 caps collected, it pays for one child’s dialysis or chemotherapy treatment.  Please look for our large boxes.   Thanks for your support. 

3. There will be a Student Council meeting on Friday during tutorial in Mr. Mikovich’s room.

4.  There will be Senior class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium next Tuesday.

5. Students are reminded that you may not leave the high school during lunches. Once you enter school , you must stay inside the school

6. We will be having a Pep Assembly tomorrow at the end of the day. (following Bell Schedule 5—No Tutorial)

7. Any Senior who would like to be a Senior Class officer make sure to see Mr. Mikovich by this Friday!

8. There will be bell choir auditions today right after school until approximately 4pm

9. Any seniors who are taking the SAT this fall and who are interested in participating in SAT Prep through Study Island, please see Mrs. Schultz in room M205 by next Wednesday, September 15.

Tuesday Sept. 7, 2010

Day 4—Tutorial Block # 4

1. There will be a Freshmen class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium today.

2.  There will be a Sophomore class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium tomorrow.

6. All Junior class officer petitions are due to Mrs. Bartone today!

8. There will be auditions tomorrow immediately after school for the 2010-2011 Bell Choir, you must attend auditions in order to be considered for a spot, if this is an issue then you need to see Mr. Dearbeck ASAP

9. Yearbook Meeting after school today for any students interested in Mr. Tomlinson’s room from 2:45-4:30pm.

10. The Boys’ Soccer team is dismissed at 2:15pm today for their away game.

Thursday Sept. 2, 2010

Day 3—Tutorial Block # 3

1. There will be a Junior class meeting today during tutorial in the auditorium

2. The National Honor Society will be sponsoring the first GHS dance this Friday after the home football game. Admission is $4.00 and the doors will open at 8:30pm. Remember: bags & purses will be checked at the door and only students enrolled at Girard are permitted to attend.

3. This Friday’s home Football game is “Coaches vs. Cancer “.. Student tickets will be $2.00 and adult tickets will be $4.00.  $1.00 from each ticket sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society.  Also it is Parents’ night for our Senior Football players and Cheerleaders.  Game time is at 7:00pm.

4.  All students are reminded that you are to leave the building at the end of the school day… unless you are participating in an after school sport/activity.

5.  Reminder No School tomorrow and Monday for the Labor Day holiday.

6. National Honor Society OFFICERS ONLY are to meet in Mrs. Lueck’s room today during tutorial.

7. There will be a Freshmen class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium on Tuesday.

8.  There will be a Sophomore class meeting during tutorial in the auditorium next Wednesday.

9. Personal Fitness class please meet in the Health Classroom today.

10. Mrs. Seneta’s 3^rd block class please report to the library for TUTORIAL today. 

11. Marching Band Seniors need to check with Mr. Dearbeck sometime during the day to give their information for senior night.

12. There will be an important informational meeting during Tutorial today in the Music Department for all those interested in auditioning for Bell Choir and/or Show Choir this year.  If you are unable to make today’s meeting then you will need to see Mr. Dearbeck at some point in time throughout the day to get information missed.

Marching Band members that need to be fitted for jackets are reminded to do so during tutorial today.

Day 2—Tutorial Block # 2

1. Today is picture day.  Students will be called down by homerooms during the day. All students –even if you are not ordering a picture package need to get a picture taken for school records (School ID’s).   Remember to bring your picture package order form with money to the auditorium when you are getting your picture taken.

5. ANYONE interested in working on the yearbook should come to the meeting after school today in Mr. Tomlinson’s room – M110.  The meeting will be brief and roles on the yearbook staff will be discussed.  The yearbook staff needs photographers, copy editors, and general help.

6.  Mr. Duffy’s 3^rd Block class you will now be eating 2^nd lunch.  So go to Mr. Duffy’s room for the beginning of 3^rd Block .

Day 1—Tutorial Block # 1

                Welcome to a new School year.

(Discussed rules/dress codes)

1.       Tomorrow is picture day. All students will be getting their picture taken for school records.  Remember to bring in your picture packet order form with money to give to the photographer.

2.       There will be a Junior class meeting Thursday during tutorial in the auditorium.

3.       Wanted to let all students be aware that the agenda books were not delivered on time.. we are expecting to get them this Friday.  So then you will be receiving them on Tuesday morning during homeroom.  There are bell schedules and maps available in the office.
