The respect you showed the Russian Orthodox Church with your behavior to the way you were dressed was so impressive. Adults have said your behavior was “perfect” at the funeral yesterday. We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. George, this past Sunday.  He was our Social Studies teacher, Football & Track coach, Senior Class Advisor and he was our friend.  I understand that everyone, students and adults alike will be having a very tough time this week.  Coach George loved the month of June.  He got to see the Seniors graduate and move onto a new chapter in their lives.  As a coach and teacher he liked to see students finish strong.  So if you want to honor Coach George, finish up strong in your classes by passing them.  Attending a small school like Girard High School is special as most everyone knows each other.  Take the time in these last days of school to ask your fellow students how they are doing and be a friend, help each other out, just listening to them will help tremendously.  Coach George was all about laughing and enjoying life, so let’s share stories about Coach this last week of school and help one another- just as Coach would have wanted us to do.
