We are very excited to announce that we will be offering the Girard School District Half-Day Pre-K program for the 2010-2011 school year.  This free program is offered to the residents of the Girard School District.  If you have a child who is elibible (4 years old on or before June 1, 2010) and you are interested in signing up for the program, please come to our Pre-K Registration Day on Thursday, February 18th, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The January PTO Meeting has been rescheduled from January 5th to Tuesday, January 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the EVES SRC/Library.  We are pleased to announce Mrs. Michelee Curtze, Trainer of the HALT! Bully Prevention Program, which is A Healthy High 5 Initiative, will present at the January 12th PTO meeting.  Mrs. Curtze will discuss important Anti-Bullying tips for parents.  Hope you can attend.  Please RSVP with the school office before Friday, January 8th.  Child care will be provided for school age children.

Through a new program called Partnership with Parents, Elk Valley Elementary School will be holding raffles twice a month for the opportunity to win dinner and books.

A Preschool Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th, starting at 6:00 P.M. at Elk Valley

Elementary School.  The open house will allow your preschooler the opportunity to see his/her

classroom and meet his/her teacher and classmates.  Students will attend either AM or PM Pre-K

classes, depending on your home address.  The AM class is scheduled from 9:00 - 11:30 (Transportation

by bus is provided to school, however, parents are responsible for transportation home).  The PM class

is scheduled from 12:45 - 3:15 PM (Parents are responsible for transportation to school, however,

students will be transported home by bus). If you have any questions, please feel free to call Elk Valley

School at 774-5602.  Stop at the office to register prior to August 11, 2009.

Attention 4 year olds!

PREK is coming to Elk Valley Elementary School.  Students must be 4 years old on or before June 1, 2009 to attend our 2009-2010 half-day Pre-Kindergarten program.
